Our Mission statement of Hawai'i Triathlon Center Club is teaching youth, high-school, and age group athletes fundamental life principles and attain their highest level of performance through the sport of triathlon. 

Our Goal in Hawai'i Triathlon Center Club is to inspire and empower youth, high-school, and age group athletes of all backgrounds and abilities. Promoting the core life principles of confidence, patience, and determination, while developing goal setting skills in a team environment to foster academic growth, increase leadership, building relationships, and promote adherence to a healthier lifestyle by participants.

About Triathlon 

Triathlons are a subset of the multi-sport events.  The events include everything from the traditional triathlon (swim, bike, run) to any combination of traditional endurance events.  The distance variety is as great as the mixing and matching of sports.  The USA Triathlon website provides additional information on the different disciplines of multi-sport racing (Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, Aquabike, off-road, Winter triathlon, draft legal and alternate formats).  Below is a list of the traditional distances for triathlons.

Super Sprint: 375m swim, 10k bike, 2.5k run

Sprint: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run

Olympic: 1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run

World Triathlon Long Course: 2k swim, 80k bike, 20k run 

70.3K/half Ironman: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run

Full Ironman/Long Course: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run
